The Algerian Consular Sections are entitled, in accordance with the regulation in force, to legalize the Algerian nationals' signatures, to certify true copies or to stamp any document for opposability in Algeria .

Fiscal stamp fees are perceived depending on the nature and the number of the documents (see the table of fees)

1 – The paternal authorization

•  It is being issued to any registered Algerian upon request so that his/her under age child or under age children would be able to travel alone or accompanied. The file to be submitted by the Father whose presence at the Consular section is required if possible, comprises the following documents:

•  a handwritten application,

•  An ad hoc application fully completed.

•  The family record book or a copy of the consular registration card,

•  The Child's recent photography

•  The issuance fees for the paternal authorization are 1.00 CAN$

•  The paternal authorization is valid for three (03) months starting of its date of issuance

•  NEW

The travel paternal authorization is no more required for the divorced spouse established abroad having the custody of a child or children living with her. However, she is obliged to show to exit border's station a document proving the family link, the residence permit abroad, copy of the judgment of divorce mentioning the custody of children, prove of the child's regular presence abroad (residence permit or school registration certificate)

2-Power of attorney:

The principal should present an Identity Card, sign the power of attorney in front of the person in charge of legalizations and pay the fiscal stamp fees. Download the forms (pfd)

3. Material legalization of signature:

The signing of any document should occur in the presence of a consular agent.

4. Certification of a true document:

The applicant should submit the original document accompanied with the copy to be certified and shall pay the fiscal stamp fees (1 CND$ each)
